소개
전환기정의워킹그룹을 공동설립했고, 연구팀장 겸 이사를 맡고 있습니다. 런던대학교 동양아프리카연구학원(SOAS) 박사후 과정과 한국학중앙연구원과 고려대학교 아세아문제연구소 연구펠로우십을 마쳤고, 고려대학교 인권센터 연구교수를 겸하고 있습니다. 주요 관심연구 분야는 북한 난민 정착문제, 남북한 관계, 국가 정체성, 화해, 분쟁 해결, 국제 이주 및 국제 이주와 관련된 국제관계이론입니다. 북한전문학술지 『North Korea Review』와 국제학술지 『Asian Ethnicity』, 전환기 정의를 다루는 세계 최대 연구네트워크 Oxford Transitional Justice Research(OTJR)의 온라인저널 justiceinfo.net에 최근 논문을 게재하였고, 여러 국제학술회의에 발표자 또는 패널로 참가해 국내외로 전환기정의워킹그룹의 활동을 소개하고 학계의 관심과 지지를 넓히고 있습니다.
A scholar on international relations, human rights and the North Korean diaspora in South Korea, Dr. Son leads the organization’s research reports and is project manager on the Global project, providing resources and training for human rights documentation groups globally. She interacts with our advisors and directors and researchers to analyse findings deliver presentations in various settings, and manage productive interaction with the academic world. She is also a Research Professor at Korea University Human Rights Center, having earned her Ph.D. in international relations and politics with a focus on the Korean Peninsula at the School of Oriental and African Studies at the University of London, as well as her M.A. in international studies and diplomacy. Her research interests and recent publications include coverage of inter-Korean relations, human rights, North Korean refugees, nationalism, identity, reconciliation and transitional justice in the East Asian context.

소개
The initiator of the Transitional Justice Working Group (TJWG), Lee designs projects and oversees the operation of the organization. Prior to establishing the organization in 2014, Lee served as public and media relations specialist at Presidential Council for Future and Vision (PCFV) of South Korea from 2011 to 2013. Lee has over fifteen years first-hand research and advocacy experience on North Korean human rights issues, and has been engaged in training human rights activists in South Korea. Formerly, he worked for Citizens’ Alliance for North Korean Human Rights (NKHR) from 1999 to 2011. He currently advises NKHR and the South Korean Government’s Center for North Korean Human Rights Records. Lee received his M.A. in Political Science and B.A. in English Language and Literature from Sogang University in Seoul.
